The children who grow up in the orphanages of South Korea face many difficult challenges to succeed after they leave the children homes. For those who desire to attend university they must work extra jobs to provide for their tuition and their living needs. Many are unable to finish school because of the financial burden and the lack of emotional support. Oak Tree Project has been created to provide orphans with a scholarship to provide for their living needs and to provide mentors for their emotional well being. Oak Tree Project began in 2013 with four recipients and they hope to provide for more and more children each year.
