Heading to America for a Month

Post 112 of 182

Sky and I are headed to America tomorrow morning. We will be visiting with our families in Northern Virginia for about a month and I’ll also be speaking at a couple churches. Our trip home will be both for vacation and for ministry.

I am open to speaking at a church on Sunday, June 29th or on a weekday visiting a small group, a mission board, or meeting with certain individuals who would be interested in learning more about Oak Tree Project (our scholarship/mentoring program for Korean orphans). We are also interested in possibly recruiting one or a few people to come out to Korea and join us in serving the orphans full time (such people would need to at least be conversational in the Korean language). If you are connected to a church or group or individual that might be interested, please let me know! You can e-mail me at beckerjm@gmail.com.

Here is our schedule as of now…

June 3rd – 14th: Arriving and spending time just with our families. No ministry during this time.

Sunday, June 15th: Speaking at SPC (Seoul Presbyterian Church: http://www.spcem.org/) at 11am. SPC is on Ox Road near Fairfax Station.

Sunday, June 22nd: Speaking at The Journey (http://www.thejourneysite.org/) at 9:30am, 11:15am, and 4:30pm. The Journey is in Springfield not far from where Springfield Mall used to exist (a lot has changed since I moved to Korea in 2005).

Thursday, June 26th: Speaking at Servants Ministry’s 2Gather4One at 7:30pm at KCPC church in Northern Virginia.

Monday, June 30th: Visiting a KCPC small group to share about the ministry.

Wednesday, July 2nd: Flying back to Korea.

Sky has been flip flopping between wanting to go to New York City for a couple days or going to see Blacksburg (where we went to college). This trip will likely be in the middle of either the third or fourth weeks of June. If we end up in New York I might be open to sharing at a Wednesday night service or a Thursday night small group while we are there.

Unless God stirs my heart with something strong to share, I’m likely going to take a break from this blog while we are in the States. If this blog has blessed you and you’d like to receive bi-weekly prayer updates from me about the ministry and what God is doing in our lives, then please e-mail me at comequickly@gmail.com. That e-mail address is solely for my prayer supporters. Prayer support is crucial! I would have fallen apart years ago out here if people weren’t praying for me.

Thank you for following my blog. Take care!
